From IPod to IPad

I was just starting to like the IPod Touch and still dreaming of owning an IPhone. My latest discoveries on the IPod Touch features made me use the gadget often, mostly browsing on the internet and playing games. Now that the kids also liked it and have preferred it over PSP (Kyle likes to play kids games that Lito downloaded), I can't get a chance to use it. Good thing, Apple has come up with this new revolutionary gadget. The tablet computer (I think it falls into that category) is an oversized IPhone with a 9.7-inch-touch-sensitive display surrounded by a thick black border. IPad will be roughly 1.3 cm thick and weigh just over two-thirds of a kilogram. It's a cute combination of a laptop and a smartphone, I only think they missed the camera feature on the IPad to complete my wishlist. Anyway, I hope I can have mine when it comes out to the market so I can use it and run the IPhone applications without the kids games. The kids will probably think the size fits me and hopefully stick to the IPod.

Technology really is an inescapable aspect of our daily lives, and I can say with 99% certainty that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as technology further advances, the possibility of copying our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could see in my lifetime.
