Friday Photo Flashback- shortest hair
I'm participating in Friday Photo Flashback started by Alicia and I found myself looking forward to Fridays for this (aside from the Friday Magic Madness - 80's music revival).
Here's my entry for this week. Here I am in my shortest haircut ever. This is shorter than the "siete" style our barkada had when we were still in high school. I always wore my hair up to shoulder length. Maybe it was too hot back then but I also remembered that my bf, now my husband wanted a short-haired gf, LOL. Now you know why.
Notice how big my tshirt was. It was the style then. T-shirts are like nightshirts.

The Master Planner
We all make plans. Some of our plans are long term, and some are short term. But, all of our plans, even the best laid out ones, are far from perfect. We make plans based on what we know and what we hope to achieve. But, since none of us ever know everything there is to know, our plans can go wrong.
God however is not subject to faulty planning. He is the Master Planner. His plans are perfect. His plans are also full-proof. They are sure to happen. "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
I got these from Lighthouse Community Church leaflet today. I was blessed and I just felt like sharing it. It was so timely as if God is speaking to me and I'm sure He does to you too. During the preaching, I listed down the statements Pastor Albert mentioned which you can also learn from. "God has already decided what you could and should do. He will not do what you're supposed to do -->SEEK, OBEY, TRUST and WAIT"
I believe that there is a reason why I'm still here in the Philippines. God is at work in our family and I will wait for Him because He said, "Those who wait for His help will not be disappointed."
God is good all the time.

My half-year old
My youngest child turned 6 months old today and I'm proud to show off my baby who is already showing signs that he's ready to stand up, walk and eat. Early this morning, I put him on Candy's high chair and took this shot. His look says, "What's for breakfast Mommy?:
"I'm ready to eat" - Alexus
Later in the afternoon, I captured some sibling moments while Kyle and Lex are playing in Candy's Room. Kyle always appear each time I want to take Lex milestone pictures. I thought of nice captions to complement the pictures:
Kyle: "Look at me, I'm POGI"
Lex: "Are you sure about that? Wait till I grow up"
Finally, here's Lex "I can sit" picture:
Lex: "Ke Candy yung mga Princess pillows ha"

"I Work and Play"
Journalling in my scrap page says: "I WORK AND PLAY"
I was a working student in college, working part-time in the morning and school in the afternoon. I learned the value of quality work and time management at this early stage which I'm still taking advantage of now. Of course, then and now, I consider work as play to enjoy it even more.
I'm proud to be one of the pioneer Drive-Thru crew of Jollibee back in the late eighties in the 50th store of Jollibee then. Look at how "baduy" our uniform was. hehehe.

Loida's Son party in Antipolo
"Tayo na sa Antipolo..." I remember singing this when I was small and I taught my children how to sing this while we were on our way to Antipolo last Saturday to attend Loid's Son First Birthday party. The trip was long but we took this opportunity to tell them that we used to live in Pasig and show them where our house, schools, "tambayan", friends' houses were. It was also a trip down memory lane, Wendy was screaming when we passed by our house in Stella Mariz. We all got excited even my mom upon seeing the place where we grew up.
The short cut (long way actually but faster) to Antipolo thru the floodway and Taytay was a "refreshing" site. After 2 and a half hours, we reached Loida's place and were just in time for the party. We enjoyed the food and games where our team won. But most especially, I was glad to see my friend with her son. She had 2 miscarriages already and opted to accept "Oyo" who was "brought" to them by circumstances.
Here are the pictures from the Mickey Mouse party:

Tantrums captured: "I want the mickey balloons" - Miggy; "Ako rin" - Kyle
Irmee to Loida: "Gusto ko na ng cake" :)

Running in dreams
It's been a while since I last remembered my dream, maybe I got exhausted from running in my dream that I remembered it. Here's the interpretation of running in dreams:
"If you dream of running from something or somebody, it is a sign that you are dissatisfied with something in your life and want to run away from current problems, maybe even feelings. If you are just running, it means that you are making a progress in life, and everything you do is going to be successful."
I don't remember if I'm just running or running away from something or somebody. But I like the interpretation of my dream, maybe true but I hope the last statement will be realized.

Friday Photo Flashback
I came across Chris' Mommy Journey blog and I grabbed the link of Friday Photo Flashback. I enjoyed looking at my old pictures and joining the blog circle is a good opportunity to showcase my "Blast from the Past" photos.
Here's my very first entry to Friday Flashback Photo. This was taken 15 years ago in Sentosa during my first business trip in Singapore. Look at how "high" my waists are hehehe. Watch out for more. :)
Thanks to Chris and Alicia.

Mother's Day Gifts
Today is a special day. I was so happy I've been blessed again at The Lighthouse Community Church service last Mother's Day. My kids enjoyed the kid's church as well and they gave me the artwork they did as their mother's day gift for me. Kyle's work was done by his teacher. I was touched by Miggy's work, although it only contained a heart and the word I Love You in it. When I took their pictures, Kyle was so proud to show it and Kuya as usual shy. I also took a picture of my other gift - my latest child who is mobile now. Although late, I felt it's still worth posting here.

Luigi's Justice League Party
Aloysius and Achilles got excited upon hearing the news that Luigi, their 2nd cousin (son of Charry and Louie Castillo) is having a Justice League party. Knowing that they're going to wear their Superman and Batman costumes, they looked forward to this day. Today, we had a blast. On the way to the party, they were already asking Tatay to speed up. When we arrived, we saw Luigi at the door and my sons were kinda disappointed because Luigi was not in his costume yet. My youngest Alexus was screaming when we entered Dazo Hall which was already half full of people and children dancing and playing on the stage. I remember Nanay's story of Lito doing the same in his first birthday party, overwhelmed at the sight of people hahaha. The party host started the games, as usual my kids didn't participate. But they enjoyed the bubble show, balloon making and the magic tricks. Kyle was always reminding me to take his pictures while he was on stage (or just near it) >>Guess from whom did he got this trait? Aloysius also enjoyed some moments with his cousin, who was wearing an Iron Man and Incredible Hulk costume. It's also Alexus first time to meet his cousins from the father side and my opportunity to catch up with Charry and Florean, my SGS lab buddies then. Here are some of our pictures:

Alexus @ five months
Alexus did it. He was in all fours and starting to show signs that he can sit while only in his 5th month. Comparing to the 2 boys, he was early to have reached these milestones. Here are some of his pictures >> my big-haired cute little boy at 5 months:
His other pictures are posted here.
