Watching NBA Raptors game from a VIP Box

I consider this a Rewards and Recognition act. It is a fulfillment in the People Pillar assessment questionnaire. The Project Team will have a perk after a project is successfully implemented, it is not written but it happened.  I am proud to be part of the SAP -EAM team. Now before the team moves to the next Brewery, we had a blast celebrating the team's success at our private box watching the Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks game.  It was an open bar with lots of beer, food and sweets to keep you full while enjoying the game. Of course, the Raptors win, but I also think I was a winner with all the other champions in our team.  Thank you for this privilege. Many would raise eyebrows about how I scored that perk, but I knew I deserved it.  That's the idea -  give a reward and recognize the efforts to celebrate the success and inspire others.

 

Go Lakers Go!

I used to be an anti-Lakers NBA fan. Whenever I watched NBA and there's a Lakers' game, I always cheer for the other team. I dunno know why but I always sided with the underdogs - a Filipino trait. But when I was able to watch a Mavericks-Lakers game in Dallas last year, I witnessed how good they really were and Kobe deserves that "superstar" status. I was looking forward to a Cavaliers vs. Lakers finals but Orlando spelled Magic that's why this season's not yet for a Lebron and Kobe match. Game 2 was amazing! Pau's defense is splendid but then again, Orlando's "Magic" faded, with Lee failing that shot and the momentum slowly took away their victory in overtime. I'm looking forward to more exciting Games 3,4 or 5 if ever there will be.

How I wish that my kids will be interested in sports like basketball. I see signs in Kyle - I was head over heels with Manu Ginobilli at the time I'm pregnant with him but I still don't see any fanatic traits from me, Irvin, Justin, Daddylo or Roty. I bought Lex a Lakers shirt to feel the NBA Finals and let him be a Lakers fan to help me cheer Go Lakers Go!

NBA game at American Airlines Center

When we were at Flotec yesterday for the Awareness Training, Ron one of the attendees invited us to the NBA game today at American Airlines Center. Being a NBA fan, I got excited to see the Mavericks versus Lakers live. Today it was raining hard and we had to rush to Flotec then head to the Dallas area for the game. The game starts at 7:30 and we had early dinner first at the Platinum Club restaurant and bar. I have seen lots of Barbies and Kens here and my eyes can’t get enough. Soon the game started and we were excited to cheer on until Mavericks were behind by at least 25 points. At half time, the boys decided to stay at the bar area and I opted to check out the Souvenir shop. The game already started again and I chose to watch it from our seat (we were in the VIP row-Platinum Club, they have a Season pass so we got good seats) because the boys never want to leave the bar. Anthony only joined me when Mavericks started picking up until they almost won with almost 2 points away from getting the game. Well, Lakers is really a hard team to beat but the game is really fun, It was like watching a Ginebra game. The Dallas fans cheered on wildly(we were exchanging high fives with the other fans, the girl in front of me and his boyfriend, plus the family of 3 on our side). I had fun today, taking one of the great opportunities others didn’t have privilege on. Joe and Ron were great conversationalists, never had a dull moment. Since it rained and there was flooding in some areas, we arrived at the hotel 30 minutes after midnight. What a day!
